At this time step and this cross section the isotach field is not so representative for the front intensification by jet. At 300 hPa the maximum of wind speed is approximatly 18 m/s.
Vorticity Advection
The PVA maximum at 300 hPa is connected with the convective cloud which are formed over south Croatia.
Omega
The further intensification can be seen and the upward motion is still present with maxima at approximate 500 hPa. Some downward motion is connected with small cloudless region over south Adriatic.
Potential Vorticity
The field of PV does not show significant anomaly.
Temperature Advection
Cold advection is still present in the whole area, which can be seen also in the WV and IR image and in the field of AT500 geopotential height. The strog warm advection is above 400 hPa.
