The mature cyclone southeast of Iceland causes a NE-ly airflow over the island. The force over the eastern
part of the Island is around 40 kt indicating a gale-force.
As the cyclone is almost stationary still in the same regions as the previous slide Gale-force winds can be seen.
The windspeed at the most eastern station is now 45 knots, Especially the long-lasting windfield with this strength
caused enormous problems.
Still nothing significantly changed in the windfield. Over Iceland constant galeforce-winds and constant moderate
precipitation is being measured troughout more than 24 hours. Note that the ship at the south east of Iceland
is measuring a mean windspead of 60 knots.
The windspeed now is at his maximum with forces upto 50 knots over the southeast. After this timestep the low was
moving slowly south and the associated strongest gradient was slowly moving away.
