There is already a closed surface low in the Mediterranean, over the Genoa Bay. The first low, that came from the Bay of Biscay, shows no signs in the surface pressure field any more, although the cloud spiral is still visible. The development in the Mediterranean took over.

The cyclone over the Mediterranean is moving towards mid Italy. The cloud spiral of the first low is merging with this new one.
