Snow in the IR+HRVIS RGB depicts in yellow colours. Similar to low water clouds, the reflected short wave radiation results in high intensities of the red and green colour beam. Snow on mountains even better reflects sun light than water clouds, therefore the yellow colour seems much brighter. Snow on flat land is often disrupted by vegetation and hence less intense on the yellow colour range.
Snow cover is relatively warm compared to cloud top temperatures; the blue colour beam does not contribute.
