Meteosat 8 Night Microphysical RGB; Low Level Cloud Cover (LCCC) (0...1; 0=clear,1=fully cloudy) (orange: LCC less 0.5 or less; green solid: LCC 0.7 or above).

NWP catches the Stratus/Fog sheet in Central parts of England, but the smaller sheet over SE England is not detected. Nevertheless, NWP is well in accordance with the real situation seen in satellite image.

NWP is reasonably well in accordance with the real situation seen in satellite image.

Some discrepancies between the model and real situation can be seen in many parts of the UK.

Again, the model is not capable of detecting all the fine local variations in fog patches over the UK.

Now the model has caught the real situation very well and shows the cloudy and clear areas mainly correctly.

Now the fog sheet covers almost entire Britain, which is also shown by the Low Level Cloud Cover parameter.
